Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a weather forecast indicating partly cloudy conditions in the hilly regions and fair weather prevailing across the rest of the country.

For this afternoon, the Division anticipates partly cloudy skies in the hilly regions, while the remaining areas are expected to experience mostly fair weather. There is a possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in select hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces. Additionally, isolated instances of light snowfall may occur in certain high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. Furthermore, thunderstorms are likely in specific locations within Lumbini Province and sporadic areas in other provinces.

Tonight, partly cloudy conditions are forecasted for the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, with the potential for light snowfall in isolated high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki province. Thunderstorms may also occur in certain southern plain areas of Lumbini province.

Over the next 24 hours, there is a chance of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. The Division advises the public to take necessary precautions due to the partial impact of weather changes on daily life in affected areas, including the possibility of thunderstorms in some parts of Lumbini province and other provinces.
